New York-to-Maine Trip 2009
While in northern New York State in July of 2009 for my 30th high school reunion (Watertown High School Class of 1979), Abbie & I drove across Vermont and New Hampshire to the coast of Maine to take the famous boat ride from Jonesport to Machias Seal Island. We got to sit in a blind while Atlantic Puffins, Razorbills, and a few Common Murres waddled around and flew in and out of the rocks where their nests were tucked away. We also visited the Adirondack Mountains and Thousand Islands of northern New York, stomping grounds of my youth.
